LET'S TALK, jueves 23 de marzo a las 16.30 h. o viernes 24 a las 19.30 h.

Teresa May (UK prime minister) has announced that the negotiations to initiate the process of the UK leaving the European Economic Community (EEC) will begin, starting on the 29th March 2017 as a consequence of the (non binding) referendum held in the UK in June 2016.
On the one hand the internal divisions within the UK have caused a renewed call for Scottish independence a rise of racism and division within England and increasing uncertainty of how to deal with the Irish border.
On the other hand there appears to be no clear route map for how negotiations with the European Union should proceed. To avoid other countries having ideas of leaving the union, Europe is unlikely to give the UK any concessions.
What effect do you think Brexit will have on Spain, the EU and the UK? Are there other global consequences of the split?
Come along to your public library for a fun chat on Thursday at 4.30pm or Friday at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome, (native English speakers free of charge) please ask at the information desk for further details.
